Finalizing my trip details for my adventure out west. I leave on Friday September 2, 2011. It is going to take me three flights to get ultimately get to Mammoth Lakes, CA. I have reserved a room at a hostel for the nights there. Saturday I plan on going to Yosemite for the day (I will return on thee 4th to hike half dome with three other guys). I am reading a book called “The Big Burn” which gives a fascinating history of how the national parks were formed.

I have spent the last year reading so many great books on the wilderness of the United States and so excited to see the place John Muir so deeply loved.
